It’s hard to believe it’s been 150 days since I embarked on this reading journey, and I’m still counting! As a book lover and high school teacher, I’ve always cherished reading, but committing to daily reading has transformed my relationship with books.
A Habit Born from Pure Joy
I started this journey seeking a deeper connection with reading, and it’s exceeded my expectations. Each day, I carve out time to get lost in a world of words, whether it’s fiction, nonfiction, or poetry. The habit has become a cherished part of my routine, like sipping morning coffee or watching the sunset.
What I have Learned

Throughout this reading journey I have learned many things. I have learned about different places, different culture, and different times. I have also learned that how fun reading is and how can I explore so many different things just by reading books.
- Reading is a Muscle: Flexing my reading muscle daily has strengthened my focus and attention span.
- Diverse Perspectives: I’ve explored genres and authors I might have otherwise missed, broadening my understanding of the world.
- Community: Sharing my reading journey with fellow book lovers has fostered connections and sparked meaningful conversations.
- Self-Care: Reading daily has become my sanctuary, a way to unwind and recharge
The Joy of Consistency

Reaching 150 days has been a milestone, but it’s the daily joy that truly matters. Whether I’m cozying up with a cup of tea or sneaking in pages whenever I get free time, reading has become an integral part of my life.
It does not matter what day it is. It has to be a reading day. Even if I can just read one page. I still count it.
Conclusion
I’m excited to see where this journey takes me. With a stack of books waiting and a heart full of anticipation, I’m ready to turn the page. Therefore, it’s 150 and still counting.
