My Year In Books 2023

We have three days left for the new year to come. This the perfect time in the year to write “My Year In Book” post.

Thanks to Goodreads for this data that I am using for my post. Goodreads gives you the whole data for the year about the books you read.

I have been on Goodreads for a while now may be since 2019. At the end of every year in last week on December, Goodreads provides the data for all the books you have read that year.

Books I Read in 2022

Before getting into details for this year, let’s talk about the books that I read last year.

Last year I read more books than this year. In 2022 I read 26 books and altogether 6977 pages.

Books I Read In 2023

Let’s now focus on the books that I read this year. In 2023, I read 15 books which means 4351 pages.

The shortest book that I read this year is Inheritance American Royals by Katharine McGee.

The longest book I read is also my most favorite book that I read in 2023. It is Where The Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens.

Now let’s talk about the most shelved and the least shelved book that I read in 2023.

Where The Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens was most shelved book that I read this year and The Christmas Basket by Debbie Macomber is the least shelved book.

Debbie Macomber’s books are my all time favorite and easy to read. Both the most shelved and the least shelved books are my favorites.

Conclusion

My target for this year was to read 30 books. I ended up reading 15 books. I have three unfinished books as well that I will complete in 2024.

I have yet not decided how many books I am going to read in the coming year. I am happy with whatever I could do this year.

I will discuss about my reading ideas in my upcoming blogs. Stay tuned for more such updates regarding books and my reading journey.

Happy Reading 📖!!!
