Live. Learn. Grow. And sometimes, pause.
Hi, friends. I missed this little corner of the internet. I missed you.
If you’ve been wondering where I went for the last two months — I didn’t quit. I didn’t burn out. I just lived a very full, very real life off-camera.
My parents came to visit from India. For two whole months, USA finally felt like home. We all enjoyed every bit of their stay with us.
And then, school started.
Live: What The Last 2 Months Actually Looked Like

I didn’t open my laptop for 8 weeks. On purpose.
My mom took over my kitchen. In the best way. There was chai at 4pm every day, not because I remembered, but because she remembered for me. There were fresh rotis, stories I’d heard 100 times but needed to hear again, and that mom magic where the laundry folds itself.
My dad fixed things I didn’t even know were broken. He sat on the porch and watched the zinnias grow and said, “Resplendent” — and I almost cried because he gets it.
We talked late. We ate with our hands. We argued about how much salt goes in daal. It was loud. It was messy. It was healing.
And then they left. And the suitcases were gone and the house was too quiet. And the next morning, alarm clocks, lunchboxes, school forms, carpool lines, water bottles with names on them.
I needed the break. I’m so grateful I took it.
I didn’t post. I didn’t plan. I didn’t feel guilty about it. For once.
That, I think, is growth.
Learn: What 2 Months Away Taught Me About This Blog

1. Consistency isn’t about never leaving. It’s about always returning.
I used to think if I missed a week, I failed. Now I know — a garden doesn’t die if you go away for the monsoon. It grows differently. My parents’ visit was the monsoon. This blog was watered by rest.
2. My readers don’t need perfect. They need present.
I worried you’d all leave. You didn’t. Some of you emailed: “Enjoy your parents.” That kindness? That’s why I want to keep building this.
3. Inspiration doesn’t come from hustle. It comes from living.
I have 37 notes in my phone now. From my mom’s kitchen. From school drop-off. From the exact moment I realized my oldest doesn’t need me to walk him to class anymore and I cried in the parking lot. That’s the real content.
Grow: So, We’re Continuing. With a Real Plan.

I’m back. Not with a big relaunch. Not with a new logo. Just me, my notebook, and a promise to show up.
This space — Live. Learn. Grow. — is still my heart. It’s about motherhood, homemaking, small joys, perilous growth, resplendent life.
Here’s how I’m growing with consistency from here:
1. Realistic Rhythm, Not Rigid Schedule
No more “I’ll post every Monday and Thursday at 7am.” My new promise: 2 posts a week — one Live. Learn. Grow. blog + one mini post. Tuesdays and Fridays. If I miss, I’ll tell you why. We’re friends here.
2. The Weekend System
I cannot write anything while at school. So, my plan is to make full use of weekends. Write. 5 pm – 7 pm is blog time. Phone on Do Not Disturb. Chai on. Laptop open. That’s it.
3. More of What You Loved
I received more engagement on the easy journaling tips, the birth flower posts, the seasonal words, the zinnia stories. More of that coming for you all. Less of me trying to be everywhere.
4. Community Over Counts
I’m not chasing virality. I’m keeping the good hours. If you comment, I’ll reply. If you have a blog post idea, send it. Let’s grow this together.
The Last Word

To my parents, if you’re reading this on WhatsApp from India: Thank you for visiting. The house misses you. The chai isn’t the same.
To my readers, who waited: Thank you for staying. For not unfollowing when I went quiet.
To anyone else who took a break this summer: You’re not behind. You’re just ripening. Welcome back, too.
I have so much to share — August reflections, September prep, what my mom taught me about keeping a home, and how I’m getting my boys to journal without complaining.
We’re back to Live. Learn. Grow.
And we’re going to do it consistently, kindly, and with a lot more chai.
I missed you. What did I miss in YOUR world the last 2 months? Tell me one thing — good, hard, or ordinary — below. I read every comment. ✨
This is such a heartfelt return to writing. I love how you’ve captured the idea that sometimes stepping away is not giving up—it is living.
The details make the post especially touching: your mother taking over the kitchen, the daily 4 p.m. chai, your father quietly watching the zinnias grow, and those familiar family arguments over the salt in dal. These small moments carry so much warmth and truth.
Thank you so much….
This was a much needed break to focus on my family. Also, according to my mom we are eating less salt, that was a debate every single day she was here.
My dad was always in the patio enjoying the swing and the flowers in the backyard.
