Hello Readers and My Friends,
As a high school teacher surrounded by words all day, I’m still obsessed with reading. There’s something magical about getting lost in a story, learning about new worlds, and meeting characters that feel like friends.
Reading matters to me a lot and I am reading every single day for 90 days and still counting.

Why Reading Matters?
This is something that only readers can understand.
- Escape & Adventure: Books transport us – to fantasy realms, historical eras, or someone else’s life. It’s like a free ticket to anywhere.
- Mind Gymnastics: Reading boosts focus, vocabulary, and empathy. It’s like a workout for your brain. You can read a detailed blog on this here.
- Cozy Vibes: There’s nothing like a good book, a comfy spot, and a warm drink. It’s self-care in pages.
Let’s Get Cozy with Books
Grab a book you always wanted to read. It can be any book of your choice. Create a cozy reading nook! Think comfy pillows, soft blankets, and a warm drink. Dim lighting, maybe some candles, and your fave book. What’s your go-to cozy spot?

What a warm and inviting reflection this is. Your love for reading comes through so naturally, especially as someone who lives among words every day and still finds wonder in them. The way you describe books as both an escape and a form of self-care beautifully captures why reading feels so essential to so many of us.
Thank you so much ☺️
There are few places not comfortable reading corners for me. I imagine you carry your enthusiasm to the science students. That is something readily appreciated by those not automatically attuned to liking the sciences.
I engage my students to reading about science as much as I can.
They especially need this for science, math, and language arts!!

My recliner, with fleece blankets, a mug of coffee, and my audiobook! Bliss!
Sounds so relaxing.
