Describe one positive change you have made in your life.
“You are never too old to set another goal or dream a new dream.” — C.S. Lewis
With this thinking and attitude, I started a habit tracker this year. if you are following me from a couple of years, then you know I am a person who maintains reading journals.
This year, I made a new addition in my journaling journey by adding a habit tracker.
Why?

Because sometimes it’s only on your mind. You make plans in your mind. You think about doing it every day in your mind. In reality, it is not working.
Sometimes writing down on a notebook or a diary can make things easier. When something is in front of you, it’s easier to visualise and makes it more likely to be done.
So, this year, I started a new tracker, a habit tracker to track my daily routine and my habits that I want to be consistent with.
What is a Habit Tracker?
A habit tracker is a tool to help you build good habits and break bad ones. It’s like an accountability buddy that tracks your progress, so you can see how you’re doing and stay motivated.

How it works:
- Choose habits: Pick ones you want to build (e.g., reading, exercise, journaling). Make your own goals. Write down what you want to track daily and monthly.
- Track daily: This is the most important step. Mark off each day you complete the habit but do not stress if you missed it a couple of days.
- Reflect & adjust: Review your progress, celebrate wins, and tweak as needed. You will find that you were not able to do all the things that you planned to do in a day. Do not get discouraged. Make adjustments in the tracker. Tweak it a little. Remove the habits that are not working for you or the ones that you no longer feel are important or you are not getting time for. It’s always good to adjust to your needs.
Remember, it’s your tracker. You are the boss. You can add and remove goals as per your wish. Keep reasonable and achievable goals and you will see a difference in yourself.
It has been three months since I started my habit tracker. I have found that I am not consistent with streching or exercising and I can see why I am gaining weight.
Why use one?
- Stay consistent: Build routines and make habits stick.
- See progress: Visualize your success and stay motivated.
Building a routine and trying to stick on it is very important if you want to make positive changes in your life.

I will download one for my I phone! I think tracking some habits will be good!
Off course!!! It’s definitely worth trying.
