My Plans for June 2026: Slow Days, Full Heart

Posted on June 3, 2026June 2, 2026

June 2026 is here, and I’m calling it my “gentle growth” month. No procrastination. No hustle goals. Just 30 days to water the parts of me that actually make life feel like mine.

I survived this school year with my students and before I begin a new one, I need this June. If May was for surviving, June is for tending. Here’s the plan — written down so future-me remembers what mattered.

Hobbies that Make me Feel Better

Reading during my summer break is a must. My goal is to read 4 physical or ebooks this month. One per week. Not to “hit a number,” but to remember what it feels like to lose track of time in a story.

Writing posts more often is also one of my plans this summer. Growing my blog and engaging my audience by sharing my viewpoints is important to maintain my blog.

Coloring is something that I am looking forward to doing more this month. I have even bought a coloring book recently. I will be sharing details with you later. 15 minutes when the day feels loud. Science calls it “focused relaxation.” I call it “brain quiet.” Bonus: it makes me a better listener with my family later.

Rest is Also Productive

Relax on purpose
Rest isn’t what happens when I’m done. Rest is the plan. That means guilt-free naps, one “nothing morning” per week. June is 720 hours. I’m reclaiming 50 of them for doing absolutely nothing useful. I think, it’s doable.

Go for walks
20-30 minutes, 5x a week is what I have planned for. No podcast sometimes. Just feet, neighborhood, sky. I want to notice which yards have new flowers. I want to learn the names of birds by sound. Health data says walks help sleep better.

Conclusion

The coloring page might stay half-done. The garden might get weeds. That’s okay. June isn’t a performance review. It’s a season.
On June 30, I don’t want a list of achievements. I want a feeling: I was here for it.So here’s my definition of success for June 2026.

That’s the plan. It’s soft. It’s simple. It’s mine.

What are you planting in your June?
