Being a high school teacher and an amateur reader, I had to read this book and here I am with the book review. Though I have given 3 stars to this book, I do not like books where the teacher is linked to a student. It’s a big noooo for me. Not at all accepted in any way and under any circumstances.
Keeping my opinion aside, I gave it three stars just because I liked the plot and the thrill.

Summary:
From the New York Times bestselling author Freida McFadden comes a chilling story of twisted secrets and long-awaited revenge.
Lesson #1: Trust no one.
Eve has a good life. She wakes up each day, kisses her husband Nate, and heads off to teach math at the local high school. All is as it should be. Except…
Last year, Caseham High was rocked by a scandal involving a student-teacher affair, with one student, Addie, at its center. But Eve knows there is far more to these ugly rumors than meets the eye.
Addie can’t be trusted. She lies. She hurts people. She destroys lives. At least, that’s what everyone says.
But nobody knows the real Addie. Nobody knows the secrets that could destroy her. And Addie will do anything to keep it quiet…
My Review:
The Teacher by Freida McFadden is the first book I have read by this author. This book is a good read with many twisted plots.
This book is about a couple who are teachers working at the same school. The wife, Eve Bennett is a high school Math teacher who is obsessed with shoes and the husband is Nate Bennette, a high school English teacher who likes poems. The story revolves around these two people and their extramarital affair.
‘digging a grave is hard work’
The story begins with someone digging a grave for someone which means someone has died. So, we have an interesting plot. Then, there is an unhappy couple looking for excitement outside of marriage. Again an interesting plot. Since this is just fiction we can imagine intimacy between a teacher and a student. Yet again interesting.
If I write more, this book review might turn into a spoiler. Therefore, I will not.
The last twist, I think was unnecessary. Some might like it but I did not. For me, it did not make any sense at all.
Last Thought:
The Teacher by Freida McFadden is an easy read. No fancy words and heavy vocabs. This book is engaging, and a page-turner, simple yet twisted, and fast-paced.
I listened to the audio version of this book and I enjoyed it. If I could remove the last twist by any chance, I would have given this book a four-star.
Read it to know more.
Happy Reading!!!
