Jot down the first thing that comes to your mind.
Today is Sunday. So, when I woke up in the morning the first thing that came to my mind is that I have this one day to rest and relax because tomorrow is Monday.
I love my work and my workplace. Don’t get me wrong. But I also like to spend my entire day at home doing household chores, working on my hobbies, and spending time with my family. Weekends are the days that I get to spend most of my time with my family and I like cherishing each and every moment of it.
So, on Sundays when I wake up in the morning, the first thing comes to my mind is to plan the entire day so that I can make the best out of it.

What about a Weekday?
It’s different on weekdays. on weekdays it’s more about work and work related things.
Many people have a very organised day to day life and they begin their day with a to-do list. So, they might be thinking about what to do today.
On my weekdays, I do the same. The first thing that comes to my mind is about the lesson that I have to teach at school. My weekday mornings begin with thinking about school and ends with again thinking about school.
Practicing on Your First Thought?
There is something that you can do in order to practice your first thoughts.
Your brain runs on patterns. The last thing you do at night and the first thing you do in the morning trains it.
You can try this 10-second experiment tonight and let me know if it works in the comment section below:

Before sleep, write down: “Tomorrow morning, the first thing I want to remember is: ”
Put it on the nightstand close to the phone. When you wake up, you’ll see it before you do anything else.
If you track it for 3 mornings, you’ll spot the pattern. And if you don’t like it, you can rewire it. Brains are good like that.
See you in the next blogpost.
Have a great day!!

I agree
Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts.
The first thing that comes to my mind lately is my husband’s health and mine. We have had a few challenges. I think often of keeping healthy, and the little black pug we have named “Rasputin.” Where is he? Love him and Sundays.
Take care of your husband and yourself.
enjoy your day and I will try that little experiment!
Thank you…
It is a good habit!🤗
Thank you so much
Very nice.
Thank you
The first that came into my mind lately is to start something new from things that I am not used, and that is how I started blogging.
Wow, that’s amazing. Happy blogging!!!
That whole “Wizard” bit slowly turning into a family thing… you can actually picture it growing over time.
And that moment at the end where it comes back to you… that was so nicely done, a little funny and a little real at the same time.
You have a way of telling these stories that just feels easy to step into.
I did not notice this while writing. Thank you so much for your details.
That Sunday vs weekday contrast is so simple and so accurate.
I like how you didn’t overcomplicate it, just showed how our mind naturally shifts.
Also that small 10-second experiment… that’s actually practical, not just an idea.
You’ve got a nice way of turning everyday patterns into something people can actually try.
Thank you so much for your input. Means a lot.
