2 New Plants In My House

I love plants. I love keeping them indoors and outdoors. I believe these green creatures not only add beauty to our homes but they also add positivity to the surroundings.

Indoor plants make your home more lively. As I said, they add beauty to your space.

This week I visited Ikea just to buy some kitchen stuff and I ended up buying two green beauties.

If you like indoor plants, you would love this post. This post is for all plant lovers.

Let’s see what two plants I bought from Ikea.

1. Parlor Palm (Chamaedorea elegans)

Palm trees look so beautiful and elegant wherever they are growing. I always wanted to have a palm tree in my house. This year, I was able to fulfill this dream too.

I bought a Parlor palm tree from Ikea this week. It is around 5 feet tall and bushy. I hope it will live with me for years. Let’s hope for the best.

2. Dracaena Plant

Usually, the Dracaena plant is grown in water. I have two Dracaena plants in the water. It is easy to grow and a low-maintenance plant.

I wanted to keep a straight plant on the corner of my staircase and Dracaena was the best choice for that. This plant is around 4 feet tall and it serves the purpose I wanted. It is adding beauty to my stairs.

I have kept both plants near the window so that they receive indirect bright sunlight. I hope they both grow well and keep adding beauty and oxygen to my house.

Indoor plants are like pets. You need to take care of them.

I am still learning to take care of my indoor and outdoor plants. Sometimes, I am successful, sometimes I fail. This is a process and I am a lifelong student.

Do you keep indoor plants in your house?
