Agree! Here is a recent example. I’m in the last month of a program on applied machine learning where I’ve had to learn Python code to build algorithms/ data models. Do I plan to be a programmer or developer? No. But if I end up managing projects or having to weigh in on such matters in my organization I wanted to understand this stuff from the ground up. I can read and theorize about this all day but it makes so much more sense now that I have hands on experience.
