A Teacher Is a Lifelong Learner

A teacher who is always ready to thrive is a lifelong learner. If you aren’t ready to learn, you can’t be a successful teacher.

Learning is a never ending process.

A great teacher is a great learned. A teacher always looks for opportunities to learn. This is why there are so many professional development (PD) session and courses.

Learning is motivating

Believe me or not, when you are learning something, you feel the positivity and motivation in the whole process. Learning is a motivating process. The more you keep learning, the more you understand things, and become more open minded.

World around us is constantly changing.

We live in a world that is changing on a fast pace. When I was student, I used to take notes on paper and pencil. Now students have their digital tablet and laptops where they type their answers.

With the change in technologies, new teaching and learning techniques have evolved so teacher’s need to evolve as well.

A teacher is a role model for their students

Students learn from their teachers. They consider their teachers as their role models. By learning everyday, teachers set an example for their students. Students see that their teacher is keen to learn and they learn from their teachers.

Conclusion

Teaching and learning goes hand in hand. A teacher knows the value of learning. The day I started teaching way back in September 2008, I understood how important learning is. This is the reason why I am sharing this post with you all.
