Welcome to My Blogpost everyone.
November walked in quietly, and I am so ready for her.
October was loud in my classroom and tender at home — kids at school and we at work. November feels like an invitation to slow down and choose what I carry into the holidays.
So here’s my Happy November, and my plans to Live. Learn. Grow. through it.
LIVE: Savor the small, warm things
This month I want to live in the senses, not the schedule.
- Morning chai before heading out to work, actually sitting down for it
- Friday night reading books, even when I’m tired from teaching all week
- Home cooked meals on Sundays — I’m trying to eat more home cooked food on weekends.
- A 10-minute walk after school to let the day fall off before I walk into home.
No big resolutions. Just warm hands, warm food, warm people.

LEARN: Finish strong, not perfect
Teacher truth: November is the sprint before Thanksgiving break. Grades, parent emails, tired kids, tired me.
My plan is to learn how to do enough well:
- Grade in 25-minute timers, then stop. The papers will wait.
- Write down one win per class period on a sticky note. On hard days, I need proof.
- Slowing down at night, just 10 minutes for myself. Meditate or just sit quietly and do nothing at all.
I want to learn to leave school at school — notebook closed, heart open.
GROW: Make room for gratitude and people
November is Thanksgiving, but I want it to be more than one day.
- Gratitude notes: One a day, 30 days. To myself to show gratitude to myself for my hard work.
- Home reset: Clear one drawer, one closet, one corner a week. Make space for December without the panic.
What about you? What’s one LIVE, one LEARN, and one GROW you want for November?
Drop yours below. I read every one, and I’m cheering for your quiet, resplendent November too.

Live. Learn. Grow. And happy November, friends.
What a beautiful and refreshing way to welcome November! I especially love your idea of living, learning, and growing through small, meaningful steps rather than chasing big resolutions. As a teacher, you give so much of yourself to others, so making time for your own peace and happiness is equally important. Your thought of leaving school at school, with the notebook closed and heart open, is particularly touching. May November bring you warm moments, renewed energy, gratitude, and plenty of reasons to smile. Here’s to a peaceful and fulfilling month! 🌸
