Zinnia: One of My Favorites

Posted on June 23, 2026

Hello My Blogging World!!!

I am here with my latest garden updates for this month: The zinnias seeds that I shoved into the ground in May bloomed this week and I am loving the view of my backyard.

Hot pink. Fire orange. Lemon yellow. Like the garden threw confetti at me. And I’m not okay. In a good way.

Zinnias are not fancy roses. They’re not shy violets. They’re bold, bright, and a little wild. They feed bees, butterflies, hummingbirds — and still have energy left to make me smile every morning. You can be tough and tender. That’s the zinnia way.

Zinnia Facts

Here are some col facts about zinnia plant.

  • Zinnia is native to Mexico.
  • Zinnia plants are easy to grow. The more you cut, the more they grow.
  • Zinnia plants attract pollinators such as bees and butterflies.
  • Zinnia flowers come in varieties of colors.

Why I Like Zinnias?

This is my third year planting zinnia plants in my backyard and I absolutely love when the flowers show up every summer.

You do not have to be an expert to plant zinnia. If you’ve got a patch of dirt, a pot, or a corner of your life that feels bare — plant the zinnia.

What a delightful post! Your enthusiasm for zinnias is absolutely contagious. I love how you describe the blooms as “garden confetti”—such a vivid and joyful image. These cheerful flowers seem to bring not only color to your backyard but also happiness to everyone who sees them.

I also appreciate the simple wisdom behind your words: “You can be tough and tender. That’s the zinnia way.” What a beautiful lesson from nature. The fact that zinnias are easy to grow, attract pollinators, and reward gardeners with such brilliant displays makes them truly special.
