March Birth Flowers

Posted on March 2, 2026

Welcome to March lovely readers!!!

March is the month of spring so let’s talk about birthday flowers for this month.

If you’re a March baby, this post is for you. Your birth flowers are here to brighten up your special month. This month is about daffodils and jonquils – the ultimate symbols of spring’s arrival. Daffodils and jonquils are the birth flowers for March. Let’s talk more about these two flowers.

Daffodils:

Daffodils are like a ray of sunshine in bloom. Their bright yellow trumpets and delicate white petals scream ‘new beginnings’ and ‘renewal’. In the language of flowers, daffodils represent rebirth, hope, and inspiration – perfect for March babies!

I tried to grow daffodils 🌼 one time but I wasn’t successful to save it for a long period of time.

Jonquils

Jonquils are a type of daffodil 🌼 that bring their own special charm. With their sweet scent and sunny disposition, they’re all about positivity and new life. They are just so appealing to eyes.

What Do They Mean?

Both daffodils and jonquils symbolise the following:

  • New beginnings
  • Hope and renewal
  • Inspiration and creativity
  • Positivity and joy

Fun Facts:

  • Daffodils are also known as ‘Lent lilies’ in some parts of the world.
  • Jonquils are often associated with Chinese New Year celebrations.
  • Daffodils and jonquils are typically larger with trumpet-shaped centers, while jonquils have smaller, more delicate blooms and a sweeter scent.
  • Jonquils are also super fragrant.

Whether you’re a March baby or just love these flowers, daffodils and jonquils are sure to bring a smile. So, go ahead and brighten someone’s day with a bouquet – or just enjoy their sunshine in a book.
