This post is in regard to the Three Things Challenge #285, 3TC, #threethingschallenge or TTC by Pensitivity101 – PUT, WON, AUCTIONED

Once upon a time, there lived a family. Rich, well established, and honored in the society. But something unfortunate happened and they lost everything, such that they had to choose between their wealth and self respect.

Guess what! They chose self respect and self esteem over everything else they had. Their house and other belongings were auctioned. Their dreams were shattered and their lives put on hold. Yet they stood strong in support of each other.

Houses can be build again. Dreams can be fulfilled in the future. But the self respect and honor lost once cannot be gained again. So, they lost everything yet they won the battle of life by not losing themselves in the battle itself.

I hope you will like my story. Looking forward to hearing some amazing comments from you all. Thank you.

Happy Blogging,

Three Things Challenge #284

This post is in regard to Three Things Challenge #284, 3TC, #threethingschallenge or TTC by Pensitivity101ANY, BRIEF, EACH

This is my first ever time, writing for a challenge on WordPress. I hope you will like it.

“That brief introduction of his mesmerized each one of us present there and no one had any doubts about him whatsoever.”

Any thing in this world is possible, only if we have that little courage and determination to do it. Just a brief mistake of yours does not make you a failure. Remind yourself of the days, each one of which you spent with your family. Remember them and do it.”

I do not know whether I have done justice to the words provided and to this challenge or not. Please drop your thoughts in the comment section.

Inspiring Quote

Today, when I was reading this classic book “Three Men in a Boat” by Jerome Klapka Jerome I was really heart felt by the thoughts of the author. It is so well written that I though it’s worth sharing. So here is the sentence.

Throw the lumber over, man! Let your boat of life be light, packed with only what you need—a homely home and simple pleasures, one or two friends, worth the name, someone to love and someone to love you, a cat, a dog, and a pipe or two, enough to eat and enough to wear, and a little more than enough to drink; for thirst is a dangerous thing.

Jerome Klapka Jerome (Three Men in a Boat)

Isn’t it interesting and inspiring? I read it 5 times and I liked it so much. We are always so greedy that we always want to have more and more when actually what we want is always enough for this life. But the greed of having more and more always keeps us thirsty.

I hope you like it. Thank you for stopping by and reading this post.

The Biggest Gift Ever: Freedom (Lockdown Thoughts)

One of my first Lockdown Thoughts, that I think I forgot to publish. Today, when I was scrolling through my draft posts, I came across this post. The Biggest Gift Ever: Freedom. I wrote this post on April, 12 2020 but somehow forgot to post.

I know that the lockdown has been removed and now we have accepted the Pandemic, this post might not seem that meaningful. Still I am sharing this with you all to know whether you all also agree with me on this or not.

We, the humans might differ today in many things such as social status, bank balance, health conditions, emotions, etc but one thing that we have in common is that we are lacking FREEDOM.

Rich or poor, thin or obese, young or old, male or female, healthy or unhealthy what we don’t have right now is FREEDOM.

We do not have the FREEDOM to go outside.

We do not have the FREEDOM to meet people.

We do not have the FREEDOM to live our lives carefree.

We are locked. We are locked with everything accessible inside our house. We are like the animals in the zoo that have food to eat, water to drink and space to move but are caged. We are caged with limited access to move out.

So, if we still do not understand what is the best gift ever a person can have, we will never. This pandemic though driving us crazy everyday has taught at least one lesson. We are blessed when we have freedom.

FREEDOM to go out. FREEDOM to meet people. FREEDOM to work. FREEDOM to make decisions. FREEDOM to do whatever we like to do in our lives.

But FREEDOM comes with great responsibilities. FREEDOM should not be exploited.

Let me know in the comment section whether my thoughts are relatable or not. Your comments and thoughts means a lot to me. So, please do comment and forgive me for not posting this post on the right time.

Acceptance: It’s Important

How many times do you feel that it’s hard to accept the reality of life? How many times do you feel that acceptance is the most important thing in life?

Yes, the more we accept the things the way they are, it is easy for us to lead our lives. Acceptance is important. We should accept the way we are. We have flaws, fine, no problem, this is the way we are. Let’s acccept is.

To err is human and we are humans. We make mistakes but it’s important to learn from the mistakes. It’s important to accept that we have made a mistake and then try to fix it or mend it in all possible ways.

The keys to patience are acceptance and faith. Accept things as they are, and look realistically at the world around you. Have faith in yourself and in the direction you have chosen.

Ralph Marston

If I talk about myself, I am not in accepting the random changes that take place in my life. I am a person who like peace and stability in life. I don’t like a life full of randomness and surprises. I like simple, easy going, relieved kind of life. But life is not about what we like. Life is all about what life wants from us.

So, I am not always ready to accept the surprises that life throws on me and thus I feel sad many times. It takes time for me to accept the changes, but I do accept the changes because I don’t have any other go. Sometimes I feel that I waste a lot of my time, days and energy in consoling myself to accept the changes, which is not at all good. The sooner we accept, the better.

I have seen that people who accept the way they are, who accept the reality of the world, who accept the way life is, they are happier and more hopeful.

Acceptance is no where related to liking or disliking. It’s about accepting the people the way they are. Sometimes we have differences with our parents, our in laws, our kids and even our partners. Once we understand that the other person is different from us, and there is no choice but to live with that person because we love that person, we tend to accept that person, the way he/she is.

The hardest thing to accept is the loss of someone very close to us. We know that the person is not going to return to us by any means but our minds and hearts are not willing to accept this truth.

Acceptance is not only of life, and self. Acceptance is also of emotions, experiences and even people.

Accept the way you are.

Accept the way I am.

Accept the way life is full of ups and downs.

Accept the unexpected, you never know what future brings us.

Let’s learn to accept. Let’s bring acceptance in our lives. Let’s practice acceptance in day to day life.

What do you think we can do to bring acceptance in our lives? Do you agree with me that acceptance is important? Please let me know in the comment section. Your thoughts are always welcomed.

Stay happy and stay fit.

A New Book and Memories

How do you feel when you get a new book or a notebook or a diary 📔 or a journal 📓? Do you have a habit of smelling a new book or a notebook?

Yesterday, I took a new book that was gifted to my son on his birthday by one of our friends. I began to flip the pages and smelled the pages too. Wow, such a nostalgic feeling. It took me down the memory lane, during my school days when we used to get new textbooks and notebooks every year. Those days were really the best days of my life.

Sniffing through the pages of a new textbook always felt like heaven. Today, I felt the same, had the same feeling. So, I thought of sharing this wonderful feeling with you all.

Now moving on to the New Book. This new book is a story book that contains 365 bedtime stories. Some stories are really short and quick read while others are long stories.

Name of the Book: 365 Bedtime Stories

Publisher: OM Kids “An Imprint of Om Books International, 2014”

The most interesting thing about this book is that you can derive morals from each story. So the stories teach the kids new thing and since the stories are short, you can read one story at night to your kids.

All kids are fond of stories of angels, monsters, fairies, dinosaur, etc. My kids like to read stories that are related to animals and plants. The favorite story of my kids is “Who Has The Longest Tail?”. This story is about the animals living in the jungle that decided to have a competition of the longest tail. They decided that the one animal who has the longest tail will be declared as the King Of The Jungle?

Can you guess, who was declared as the King Of The Jungle? Do you also like reading short stories and short story books? I do like reading children story books just for a change and it’s really fun to read children books.

Happy Reading 📖.

It’s Okay, I’m Fine.

We always hear people saying, I’m okay when they are not. We also do the same when we aren’t willing to share our true feelings to others. I feel, we being human have various emotions that constantly change with time.

We may be very energetic and excited in the morning and feel bored or clueless in the night. These days, social media also plays a role in our sadness and happiness. There are people who are hardly affected by social media posts, messages and news. I think in today’s world, they are truly blessed.

So, we humans have emotions and we express them or we don’t. It depends where we are and with whom we are. Sometimes we have a false mask covering our faces that doesn’t show our actual emotions.

If I talk about myself, I am great in masking my feelings in public. I know how to and when to hide my emotions and true feelings. I think, it’s ok until and unless I am not harming anyone.

I think,

It’s sometimes Okay not to be Okay.

It’s Okay to Feel bad.

It’s Okay to be Sad.

It’s Okay when things are not the way You wanted.

It’s Okay when someone is not listening to You.

It’s Okay to be angry but it’s not okay to hurt someone.

It’s Okay to Have a Bad Day.

It’s Okay to Have Mixed Emotions and Feelings.

It’s absolutely Okay the Way You are. You are Perfect.

How many times do you say I’m okay, when you are not? That’s absolutely fine. We have ups and downs in our lives. And it’s fine.

What do you think about this? Do you agree with me on this? Do you agree with the quotations I shared here? Please let me know about it in the comment section below. Your thoughts are always appreciated.

200 Posts: Feeling Awesome

Hello All,

I am so glad to inform you all that, yesterday with my Happy Father’s Day post, I have successfully written 200 posts till date and this one being the 201st post.

Since October 2019, I have been writing on my blog www.penofhearts.com at least 4 posts per week. When I started blogging, I had few subscribers and so my views were also less than what I have today.

So, I was thinking of reviving my old posts at least one repost every week so that my new subscribers and my fellow bloggers can also see and comment on my older posts.

I am also thinking of writing one post everyday from now, if possible. Let’s see whether I am able to do it or not.

For completing by 200 posts, I feel grateful to God and my parents. I feel that I have achieved one more accomplishment as a blogger and as a freelancer.

I feel reading and writing keeps us engaged and we keep learning new things everyday. Penning down our thoughts on paper or as a post, I feel we give voice to our thoughts. We connect with awesome people around us and learn new things from them too.

I would like to say that I am really enjoying writing posts on my blog and I also like reading posts of my fellow bloggers.

What’s more exciting is to read the comments of you all. Your comments are really motivating and encouraging.

Thank you all for being in connection with me by reading, liking and commenting on my blogposts. I really enjoy reading all your comments.

Happy Father’s Day

I know, I am late today but I wished my dad “A Happy Father’s Day” yesterday. Since I am married I wished my Father in Law, the same.

To all the awesome fathers out there, I am sorry I can’t discriminate, I wish you all a very Happy Father’s Day.

Fathers do a lot for their kids and family. I sometimes feel their feelings, their love and they themselves are underrated. But today I want to say that, parents are the pillars of our foundation.

My Dad and Mom

Fathers should be equally praised as mothers. Being a mother, I know no one can ever beat the love or even come closer to the unconditional love of a mother but being a daughter and a daughter in law I feel fathers are equally important.

I don’t remember when was the last time or even the first time my father ever scolded me. I was such a darling daughter and I am still so much loved by my parents. He always stood by me.

I still remember my father dropping me to my college even when I was a lecturer there. He would pick me up to and from the college. I still remember the long talks I used to do with my dad when I used to come from my hostel during my post graduation.

I still remember my dad waiting outside the examination centers when I prepared for medical exams and CSIR NET exams.

I am thankful to my dad for always being my support system in every possible way. I know he knows how much I love him.

Now moving on to my father in law, he also supports me a lot. He encourages me to do what I like to do. He gives me full freedom in making my own choices. I am grateful to him for having faith in me and always standing by my side to support me.

I am blessed to have two awesome fathers in my life.

My Dad (on left hand side) and My Father-in-law (on right hand side)

Next is my husband, who is an awesome father of two wonderful kids. I think that we grow and learn many things as parents and I see many changes in my husband after becoming a father. Kids love him a lot and so does he. My kids are still small to express their feelings about their dad but they made special cards for him.

My Kids with Their Dad

The main idea behind celebrating any special day is to give recognition to that person and say thanks to that person. Be it Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Brother’s day or Sister’s day, it’s only a wonderful way to express our feelings and gratefulness towards them.

Let’s celebrate each day with joy, happiness, and compassion. Let’s celebrate each and every relations we have in our lives.

At last I would like to wish all the fathers, a very Happy Father’s Day. May all of us always have the love and blessings of our parents with us.

I wish good health, happiness and blessings of Almighty to all the fathers. May God bless all of us.

Thank you so much for stopping and sharing my post.

Learning Never Ends

Learning is an ongoing process and we can learn at any age. For people who are the real learners, age is not an issue.

Actually we learn everyday. Learning can be academic or non academic. It’s not important what we are learning, it’s important that we shouldn’t stop learning.

So, I believe, learning should never end. We should keep learning. Learning should not stop.

Learning keeps us growing.

Learning keeps us motivating to learn more.

Learning keeps us updated.

Learning keeps our minds young and active.

So, what are you learning these days? I would be glad to know about in the commention section.

Happy Learning and Blogging.
