Today, when I was reading this classic book “Three Men in a Boat” by Jerome Klapka Jerome I was really heart felt by the thoughts of the author. It is so well written that I though it’s worth sharing. So here is the sentence.
Throw the lumber over, man! Let your boat of life be light, packed with only what you need—a homely home and simple pleasures, one or two friends, worth the name, someone to love and someone to love you, a cat, a dog, and a pipe or two, enough to eat and enough to wear, and a little more than enough to drink; for thirst is a dangerous thing.Jerome Klapka Jerome (Three Men in a Boat)
Isn’t it interesting and inspiring? I read it 5 times and I liked it so much. We are always so greedy that we always want to have more and more when actually what we want is always enough for this life. But the greed of having more and more always keeps us thirsty.
I hope you like it. Thank you for stopping by and reading this post.
Happy Reading 📖.
